Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing Sky’s Dog Walking & Pet Sitting. The following terms and conditions are in place to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment of all dogs in my care, as well as to maintain a smooth and professional service.
 

1. Social Behaviour Requirement
All dogs must be friendly, well-socialised, and comfortable around other dogs and people. As part of the day-care and overnight care environment, dogs may be in contact with other dogs during walks.
 

* Dogs that display aggression, excessive fear, or unpredictable behaviour may not be accepted or may be removed from care if issues arise.
* Owners must disclose any behavioural concerns prior to booking.
 

2. Health & Vaccinations
All dogs must be in good health and up to date with vaccinations, including (but not limited to) canine distemper, canine parvovirus (parvo), canine adenovirus (hepatitis), rabies (when dog is from abroad).
 

* Dogs must be free from contagious illnesses, parasites, or infections.
* Proof of vaccinations may be requested.
* Owners must inform me of any medical conditions, allergies, or ongoing treatments.
 

3. Flea & Worming Treatment
Dogs must be regularly treated for fleas and worms. If a dog is found to have fleas while in my care, appropriate treatment may be given and any associated costs will be passed on to the owner.
 

4. Booking & Availability
Bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed only once agreed
 

5. Cancellations
Please provide reasonable notice for cancellations where possible. Repeated last-minute cancellations may affect future bookings. Deposits for day-care and overnight care are non-refundable.
 

6. Emergency Care
In the event of illness or injury, I will make every effort to contact the owner or emergency contact.
 

* If immediate veterinary care is required, I reserve the right to seek treatment from a registered vet.
* Any veterinary costs incurred are the responsibility of the owner.
 

7. Behaviour During Care
Dogs must be reasonably well-trained and manageable in a home and outdoor environment.
 

* Excessive destructive behaviour, persistent barking, or inability to settle may result in the dog’s placement being reviewed.
 

8. Walks & Outdoor Activities
Dogs will be exercised daily unless otherwise requested or advised due to health reasons.
 

* Walks may be carried out in group settings.
* Owners must inform me of any restrictions (e.g. recall issues, lead-only walking).
 

9. Liability
While every care and precaution is taken to ensure the safety of all dogs, owners accept that dogs interacting in a social environment carries inherent risks.
 

* I am not liable for minor injuries, scratches, or incidents that may occur as part of normal dog interaction.
* Owners remain responsible for any damage or injury caused by their dog to property, people, or other animals.
 

10. Feeding
Owners must provide their dog’s food where required, along with clear feeding instructions. This helps maintain consistency and avoid dietary issues.
 

11. Trial Sessions
A trial session may be required before accepting new dogs to ensure they are suitable for a social day care environment.
